A Mother, pushed to breaking point by the stresses and strains of a family Christmas was held in police cells for a night after her patience with her three children and husband finally snapped.
Sarah Hughes,32, dumped the family's presents in the bin and ripped down the decorations. She slammed the front door, shattering the glass, and when he husband Michael,33, said he was calling the police she cut the telephone wires and tried to slash the tyres on his car.
Eventually two police officers arrived at the family's home and arrested her for a breach of the peace. After a night in custody she appeared in court yesterday and told magistrates "I could do without Christmas".

they're fucked in England aren't they, not like here in Australia?
we just sit next to each other blogging and don't worry about that face to face communication, it's fuckin' over rated anyway. The future should involve only online comms between all people, be it for marriage, divorce, acrimonious break ups and violence too. Imagine how many less people will be in hospital if we just do it all on line?
Sex should only be done on line too.

Laughing...I was going to say I relate to that woman and the feelings and expectations of Chistmas...I wonder how many door banging, phone line cutting, tyre slashing women are really out there, If the magistrate was a women she'd just nod and let her off....
